ABO Grouping ( Blood Bank )

Method:

1. Tile method ( teknik jubin )
2. Tube method
3. Gel card method ( new technique )

1. Tile method ( teknik jubin )

• 1 drop of blood on each column.
• 1 drop anti-sera on each column containing blood ( depend on anti-sera type )
• mix the mixture using applicator stick.
• shake that tile ( few minute ).
• Result.

2. Tube method

• Prepare 4 tube & 5% cell suspension
• 1 drop 5% cell suspension into each tube.
• 2 drop anti-sera into each tube ( depend on anti-sera type )
• centrifuge 3000rpm ( 15 sec ).
• Result

3. Gel Card method

simple & accurate but expensive technique.

• take ABO gel card
• insert 1 drop anti-sera into each column.
• centrifuge
• Result
